Saturday Links

Posted on October 19, 2024October 19, 2024 by John C. Goodman

Medicare Part D Market: Average premiums are up 57%; average plan choices are down 53%; some state premiums increases are north of 100% (CA, NY, NV).

Kamala’s home health care benefit: The nation already spends more than $130 billion on home care and $190 billion on nursing home care. Having Medicare assume these costs, would  increase Medicare spending by 14 percent – assuming no increase in demand.

Why Trump’s trade ideas don’t add up.

The seven battleground states have less than 17% of the nation’s population, but they are on track to collect 44% of the green new deal (IRA) money.

CBO: the 10-year cost of Medicare coverage of anti-obesity medications is $35.5 billion. Health benefits are uncertain.

John, you will look stupid soon for not being able to understand what has already happened.  The Free and Open Market will soon destroy Obamacare without one single politician’s help.  YOU certainly did nothing and don’t even know what is going down.

Obamacare will be destroyed by a ZERO deductible product that pays $12,000 per day in the hospital after 24 months on the plan.  PLUS, it has “non-coordination of benefits” (NCOB).  This means it will pay in addition to auto insurance!

In the future, a teenager will roll the car seven times and linger in the hospital for a month before he dies.  State Farm auto insurance will pay the hospital bills, and Save101DOTcom will send the parents $12,000 x 31 = $372,000 plus at least $10,000 for each surgery plus other expenses.  Obamacare doesn’t pay in addition to auto insurance.

This product is available in 30 states as we speak. Don’t you feel stupid? Did I tell you the cost for Trumpcare’s ZERO deductible is $86 monthly in Wisconsin? Plus, the parents may add an option for $9 monthly that will pay the parents $5,000 BONUS cash should the child be hospitalized. Because you are so uninformed, NOBODY will listen to you as you try to kill the tax-free HSA by starting to tax it like a ROTH.

Would you prefer Trumpcare with a ZERO deductible or Obamacare with a $9,200 deductible in 2025?  YOU know hospitals require the deductible before surgery.  John boy, the cost for “Child Only Insurance with a ZERO deductible in Dallas is $110 monthly with the $5,000 Extra cash bonus with a hospitalization.  The new Trumpcare can use MD Anderson Cancer Center as no Obamacare plans can.  Carry on, John, you are so damn slow.

If Politicians and the Press won’t tell you (including slowpoke John Goodman), we will at Save101 com—where America’s first tax-free HSA is enrolled!

For many years, our health care blog was the only free enterprise health policy blog on the internet. Then, when the NCPA closed its doors, the health blog stopped as well.

During this five-year hiatus no one else has come forward to claim the space. So, my colleagues and I have decided to restart the blog in connection with the Goodman Institute. We invite you and others to use this forum to share your views.
