The Bloomburg ACA link is broken. There are two copies of the URL concatenated end-to-end, although I was able to access it by editing the link in the navigation bar.
The article’s claim about the percentage of ACA users who are subsidized may be skewed. For many subscribers, any subsidy merely offsets the hidden tax embedded in the published premium. The real subsidy could be negative.
The real problem is that no one really knows who is being subsidized or to what extent. It should not be surprising that costs swell to suck up all available revenue.

For many years, our health care blog was the only free enterprise health policy blog on the internet. Then, when the NCPA closed its doors, the health blog stopped as well.

During this five-year hiatus no one else has come forward to claim the space. So, my colleagues and I have decided to restart the blog in connection with the Goodman Institute. We invite you and others to use this forum to share your views.
