Tuesday Links

Henderson: There is more than a dime’s worth of difference between the two parties: Republicans are better.

The average annual premium for workers covered by their own firm in 2024 was $8,951 for single coverage and $25,572 for family coverage.

Amazon, Walmart. Walgreens, CVS, and Optum intended to change the health system. Almost all of those companies are in deep trouble.

You’ve probably heard of food deserts, but what about pharmacy deserts?

Biden recently terminated Trump’s Short-Term Medical (STM) program. In response, Allstate introduced a new health insurance product called Fixed Indemnity, similar to Aflac, and increased the daily hospital benefit from $100 to $12,000. This new product is being referred to as Trumpcare. Additionally, it can be used in conjunction with auto insurance. For example, suppose a teenager gets into a car accident and passes away after spending 30 days in the hospital. In that case, the auto insurance will cover the hospital bills, while Allstate will provide $360,000 ($12,000 x 30 days) to the parents.

Furthermore, Allstate’s Trumpcare is affordable, offering a ZERO deductible for inpatient and outpatient benefits at a monthly cost of $101 with a 3-year-rate lock. Obamacare in Orlando provides a PPO from Blue Cross for $409 per month with a $9,450 deductible. So, the question is, would you prefer Obamacare’s $9,450 deductible or Trumpcare’s ZERO deductible?

Wait, it gets better. With Trumpcare, consumers have more and better options. At Allstate, we call it “Plan C,” which costs $9 monthly for a child. Plan C raises the $101 premium to $110, and then parents receive an extra $5,000 if a child is hospitalized. Allstate’s Trumpcare is better than Obamacare. No Obamacare plan in Texas may use MD Anderson Cancer Center, the nation’s best. Allstate clients may choose their doctors and hospitals. Allstate’s Trumpcare includes MD Anderson as a member hospital. With Allstate’s Trumpcare, consumers are in good hands.

The free market health plan offered by Trumpcare promises higher quality healthcare at lower costs. The Orlando Child Plan is priced at $155 per month and includes Plan C and Prime Dental, which provide $3,000 in coverage annually after 24 months. Many individuals who are used to the high premiums of Obamacare are impressed by the benefits of Trumpcare. The Annual Premium (AP) amounts to $1,860, and the Prime Dental coverage begins at $2,000 in the first year, increasing to $3,000 after 24 months. In the free market, Trumpcare’s dental coverage nearly doubles the annual premium amount.

Allstate’s Trumpcare is available from coast to coast and is just in time. Iowa, Texas, and Florida teachers are paying $1,000 monthly to insure one child at their schools. America is experiencing an unreported health insurance cost crisis. Florida’s Obamacare PPO from Blue Cross Annual Premium is $4,908, with a $9,450 deductible going up 10% on 11/01/2024. Trumpcare’s $1,860 saves the Mother over $3,000 annually but also has a $0 deductible, pays $2,000 dental, pays $5,000 with hospitalization, and premiums are rate-locked and can’t go up for three years.

It is justice that the Free and Open Market is competing with Obamacare when politicians refuse to protect the American people. Free Markets saved America, not politicians. YOU get millions and millions John and did nothing but try and protect the deadly status quo.

For many years, our health care blog was the only free enterprise health policy blog on the internet. Then, when the NCPA closed its doors, the health blog stopped as well.

During this five-year hiatus no one else has come forward to claim the space. So, my colleagues and I have decided to restart the blog in connection with the Goodman Institute. We invite you and others to use this forum to share your views.
