An argument against Pigouvian taxes or subsidies to correct “market failure.”
Too little or too much sleep is associated with dementia.
Housing in NYC: “They have simultaneously limited short-term rentals such as Airbnb, reducing the number of listings by 80 percent, while at the same time closing 55 affordable youth hostels and spending tax dollars to fill hotels with the homeless and foreign migrants.”
Pigouvian taxes and subsidies seem interesting in principle, but I would much rather see more focus on eliminating existing anti-Pigouvian taxes and subsidies.
