“We’re going to do everything in our power to make sure that another country cannot be given the ability to pillage our health system for its own benefit.”

Perhaps the more fundamental reason – Pfizer and other US pharmas are likely unwilling to sell Canada even more medications at artificially-low prices. Because that would erode their own profit margins. Canada rightly expects it will not have sufficient supply to export to the US – even if it could profit from the exchange.

Sadly, the the US and US states don’t seem to take the same position as Canada, about other countries pillaging our health system.

For many years, our health care blog was the only free enterprise health policy blog on the internet. Then, when the NCPA closed its doors, the health blog stopped as well.

During this five-year hiatus no one else has come forward to claim the space. So, my colleagues and I have decided to restart the blog in connection with the Goodman Institute. We invite you and others to use this forum to share your views.
