I have enrolled a lot of doctors in my TIME and I have yet to meet one that understood insurance. I enrolled 2 Docs in Clorado Springs in 2002 during the MSA Test and they both got cancer 6 months apart. Ray had bone cancer and lived in a bubble for 6 weeks twice. Ray had a stroke in his 1st surgery so his anesthesiologist days were over. I saved his ass because I took them off a hospital group plan where they had to work to continue coverage. Same thing as an employer-based benefit for eligibility requirements. I insured more lawyers than anybody, 1/3 of all MSA radio respondents were lawyers and they were as dumb as the doctors.
However, the lawyers were quicker than the docs about legal liabilities when you show them. When I 1st talked with Devon he had the NCPA’s Blue Cross employer-based plan. I had the priveledge to tell Devon, “If you get so sick you can’t work you will lose your health insurance!” Devon never disagreed with me. So YOU Dr. Goodman were just like the docs and lawyers putting your employees in DANGER!
Of course the lawyers and docs switched but not Devon because he wasn’t an owner but merely a slave of Dr. Goodman. I feel sorry for Devon’s wife, his dependent. Blue Cross of Texas, yuk.
