Wednesday Links

Tyler Cowen explains why he is skeptical of the lead-causes-violence theory.

Are 15 million Americans about to lose their health insurance?

Report: there have been at least 275,000 claims submitted for dispute resolution with respect to payments to out of network providers during the first three quarters of 2022. Federal agencies were expecting 17,333 a year.

In defense of Canadian Euthanasia.

“Growing evidence suggests that repeated vaccinations may make people more susceptible” to a new covid variant. (WSJ)

The article on Americans losing their health insurance states that one-third of the adults that lose insurance would not qualify for tax credits in the ACA exchanges.
That seems to be too high a number. There is a narrow band of persons (in some states) who make too much for Medicaid but not enough for ACA credits….but I am skeptical that this equals one-third of the new cohort.
A lot of this cohort has new jobs by now and might qualify for insurance that way. They will face much higher costs than what Medicaid provided….now that could be a problem.

I have run across the Epoch news service before. I do not find them totally trustworthy.

Bob is right on that worthless Epoch story about Medicaid. The author is from South Africa and doesn’t understand American Medicaid. We expected stupid and uninformed authors in America to not really inform the population about the health care MAFIA in the land of the FREE!

Now if this bozo author said that Americans get 20% more than the cost of Blue Cross Obamacare plans in Obamacare Tax Credits then she would be correct. She could say, “Monopoly Blue Cross Association has [uninformed taxpayers] coughing up huge tax credits that exceed Blue Cross’s premiums! Sometimes $50,000 a year per illegal immigrant family. Blue Cross doesn’t want the masses to owe even a dollar at premium time because if they don’t pay then Blue Cross loses the MOUNTAIN in tax credits from the government because of non-payment of premium.

It’s better for Blue Cross if the [clown consumer] paid absolutly ZERO and they get a deductible of $8,100 per person per year. PLUS these clown consumers get NOTHING if they utililize a medical provider who communicates in English (Non-Network Provider). Blue Cross already has all of the city, schools, universities, county, state employees with Employer-Based Benefits that their lying HR benefit manager SALESPEOPLE are NEVER licensed! It is just disgusting but Dr. Goodman never says a word. That’s because he isn’t licensed either. People that don’t know the law!

PLUS, check it out, because of ERISA you can’t sue an Employer-Based Benefit plan if they kill your beautiful wife. These greaseball employees THINK they need legal rights in the land of the FREE and the home of the BRAVE. In a land of lawyers and you have NO Legal Rights, figures (SLAVE). Taxpayers can pay a lot for Employer Based Benefits. In Nebraska the taxpayers are paying over $34,000 a year for “Family Insurance” for a 30-year-old couple and child for State employees! I kid you NOT! Trump’s low-cost HIGH-QUALITY STM is $2,188 a year with a $10,000 deductible. Pretty damn close to the Obamacare deductible and $32,000 in SAVINGS!

Of course in 2023 anytime you say Medicaid you must also report that Centene has class action lawsuits and this last one is a RICO Act VIOLATION because Centene is a Criminal Organization! YES, you heard right! America’s LARGEST Medicaid company and Obamacare company is an criminal organization like Al Capone back in the Gangster days. This time the G-Men join the MOB! It’s big money! But to be acurate, Centene is DEMONIC!

For many years, our health care blog was the only free enterprise health policy blog on the internet. Then, when the NCPA closed its doors, the health blog stopped as well.

During this five-year hiatus no one else has come forward to claim the space. So, my colleagues and I have decided to restart the blog in connection with the Goodman Institute. We invite you and others to use this forum to share your views.
