Richard Hanania, Tyler Cowen and Scott Sumner on a libertarian approach to Covid.

Yesterday was the 20th anniversary of Obamacare open enrollment.

Here’s why that matters.

The Ministry of Truth is back. HT: Tyler

The Good Nurse is about a man who may have killed 400 patients.

Arizona woman is arrested for feeding the needy.

Dr. John you wrote something really stupid. You wrote, “Obamacare began as an attempt to
insure the uninsured.” [That is too pitiful]. Employer-based Blue Cross health insurance was losing 1% market share [annually] before Obamacare. Obama [Stopped that] by making Individual Medical (IM) worthless and expensive Hillary-Style DANGEROUS HMOs that pay NOTHING when a sick self-employed’s child with [brain tumors] goes to MAYO Clinic, the BEST hospital in the world. Nobody cares about the broke self-employed so that is why they were chosen to TEST DRIVE the tax-free MSA in ’96.

NOW, employer-based insurance has NO COMPETITION so Shawnee Mission School District, the largest in Kansas City, can sell poor teachers overpriced employer-based Monopoly Blue Cross HMO that costs $2001 a month, if she adds a baby and 30-year-old husband. Then these [SLAVE teachers MUST pay Union Dues]! Too Stupid. Ultra-Liberal [FOX News] 4 in KC, has a reporter named [Sam Atwell], who tells [Republican Amanda Atkins] that nobody cares about Republican Reform and that President Trump’s (high-quality) low-cost Short-Term-Medical STM is only $170 in Independence, MO but KANSAS Gov Kelly Vetoed Trump’s STM that last 36 months. Less than 1/10 the price and STM utilizes Aetna Open Choice PPO so both MAYO Clinic and MD Anderson are participating providers to Trump’s STM and the over-priced HMO for $2,001 will pay NOTHING to MAYO. Governor Kelly said Trump’s STM is JUNK that cost 1/10 the price of NON-PROFIT (Haha) Blue Cross.

Wake up John and call FOX News 4 in KC and ask for Sam Atwell – 816-932-2901 – Ask, – Amanda Atkins wants to be the 1st Republican in America to support the tax-free MSA in Medicare so she can be a leader in Washington DC and you say NO, why? Both KS and MO seniors who enroll get $2,000 or $,3000 in their MSA at the bank on 1/1/23. A Married couple may choose $6,000! YOU are rich John with your Non-Profit, these poor seniors in America, the 65 million on Medicare are struggling hitting the Food Banks!

Psssst John: Keep the MSA in Medicare a secret John because you call yourself the father of MSAs! Weird isn’t it?

For many years, our health care blog was the only free enterprise health policy blog on the internet. Then, when the NCPA closed its doors, the health blog stopped as well.

During this five-year hiatus no one else has come forward to claim the space. So, my colleagues and I have decided to restart the blog in connection with the Goodman Institute. We invite you and others to use this forum to share your views.
